Who We Are

Above all else, I am a tinkerer. Plain and simple.
 
Whether it was the broken toaster when I was five, or my first car as a teenager, I have always reveled in the simple and satisfactory act of making things work. It’s an art as much as it is a process, simultaneously satisfying both hemispheres of my brain.
 
Every day I go to work and am handed a puzzle, and it’s my charge to piece it all together. Which is why I’ve spent years filling my toolbox with an array of gadgets and gizmos, softwares and styles, to get the job done, all the while gaining a sure and steady hand at using them.
 
Depending on the task, I assume the role of animator or designer, director or programmer. I chisel, and hone, and polish.
 
In a word, I tinker.
 
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I graduated from the Art Institute of Portland with my Bachelor’s in 2005 and promptly began freelancing at wonderful agencies around town before permalancing at Sockeye Creative for a bit before settling down as a staff editor at Mission Control. In my six or so years at Mission Control, I gradually found myself doing more and more motion graphic and animation work, before setting out on my own in the Autumn of 2012 to pursue the world of motion graphics full time.
